Rosehip Tea

De-stress

Rosehip tea is a delicately floral flavour sprinkled with a little sweetness and a slight tart aftertaste. This tea can help massage those tired muscles back to their best.

Rosehip is a great anti-inflammatory which can be used topically or consumed as a tea. The oil in these small berries can be used in massage to help destress the mind and could  also decrease the appearance of stretch marks and other scars on the skin.

Like most berries, rosehip is a great source of vitamin C, supporting a healthy immune system.

Did you know?

Rosehip are small berries which can be found on a rose bush, little in stature but brimming with vitamin C and have been used in many cultures in many different ways. Traditional folklore tells us that Rosehip and other petals would be placed into a handkerchief and tied with a red ribbon.

On a Friday, the day linked to the goddess of love, Venus Aphrodite and Freya, the handkerchief would be carried by a lady and a wish of love would be made. In Hungary and Romania, the rosehip fruit is used to make a popular brandy and jam. The rosehip is thought to help aid relief of coughs and colds.

In World War II the public was encouraged to gather rosehip and make syrup for troops. The rosehip syrup was a good source of many vitamins and would prevent scurvy and give people who were rationed an extra health kick.
