Sweet Cleanse

Ingredients: Liquorice Root | Peppermint

Caffeine: This is a herbal tea so is 100% Caffeine Free

Aroma: A cooling aroma of peppermint, to make you close your eyes and open your airways, shaking your senses awake with subtle anise notes rejuvenating your mind.

Teatime: Sweet cleanse is best enjoyed after a large meal to help aid digestion.

Brewing instructions: 1 Tsp per cup of tea

Infusion time: An infusion time of 5-10 minutes is recommended as this tea contains coarse ingredients. An addition of honey can be added for extra sweetness or a slice of lemon for an even fresher aftertaste

Colour: Dark yellow/ Brown

Hades was supposedly having an affair with a nymph named Minthe, when his wife found out about this affair, she became enraged and turned her into a common weed which would always get stepped on and removed. Hades softened the curse and gave her a sweet scent with a cooling effect; thus the name mint for this herb was created.

Nowadays mint is grown for many uses, with 70 percent of it produced in the US. It is a much-used and loved herb.
