Ingredients: Chilli | Carrot | Rosebuds yellow | Safflower | Spice
Aroma: Want to feel the heat and be transported to the spice markets of Egypt, this tea blend aroma will take you there. The fiery chilli and clove spice open up your airways and fill your senses with flavour. Then you get the subtle undertones of floral safflower, beautiful in every way.
Teatime: Safflower Fire tea blend is very spicy so is best enjoyed alongside a meal. If you enjoy a kicking curry you will enjoy this brew. It is also caffeine-free!
Brewing instructions:
1 tsp per cup of tea
Infusion time: Safflower Fire tea has large pieces of chilli and safflower so a longer time of 8-10 minutes brewing time is recommended to give a real infusion punch. You may want to add some honey or lemon to this brew if you want to take the edge off the heat.
Colour: A beautiful rich copper orange when brewed.
Origin: Africa
Did you know?
Red bush tea originated with the tribal people of South Africa, unique to the Cederberg Region of Western Cape Province. Rooibos have been consumed for hundreds of years by the Khoisans, one of the many indigenous populations found in this mountainous area.
Rooibos tea is not actually a tea but is a herb. It is made by brewing dried rooibos leaves from the rooibos bush and therefore is an herbal infusion. It is graded according to colour, flavour and cut length, so rooibos can look and taste different but is still the same red bush tea. Rooibos tea has been known to reduce stress levels, nervous tension and hypertension conditions. It has also been linked with youthful skin. Let’s hope a rooibos tea will help us turn back the time.
