Supports Brain Function.

An emerald green cup of overall goodness, for your mind, body and soul. Robust, tart undertones with a grassy freshness. Matcha is coming atcha!

This tea is a rare Chinese matcha powder, coming from Organic Tai Shan Tea Plantation in Zhejiang province. Matcha tea is very different to your normal green tea, the whole leaf is ground into a very fine, vibrant powder and the way it is grown increases its chlorophyll levels giving you a strong and more potent green tea. A complex flavour of natural, sweet nuttiness with grassy tones, finishing with a touch of bitterness with a savoury ending. This tea is 137 times the antioxidant strength of a regular green tea so if you are looking for a detox tea or would like a tea to look after your overall health then mindful matcha is the one for you

Both Uji and Chinese matcha offer unique experiences for the discerning tea enthusiast. Uji matcha, with its centuries of tradition and refined production methods, delivers a smooth, umami-rich experience that’s hard to beat. Chinese matcha, on the other hand, provides an exciting and often more affordable entry point into the world of powdered green tea, with its own distinct character.

Ultimately, the choice between Majestic Matcha and mindful matcha comes down to personal preference, budget, and the specific tea experience you’re seeking. Why not try both and embark on your own matcha taste adventure?

Did you know? Matcha tea is very on-trend in modern times. Found on most menus ranging from tea, latte and smoothies. It can be used in an array of desserts including ice cream and even pancakes. The matcha frenzy is everywhere, and with its long list of health benefits and living in a day and age when health is number one, it’s the green tea in every Gen-Z’s cup. This popular drink dates back in history to the Tang Dynasty in China. During this time, the Tang Dynasty steamed tea leaves to create bricks, making tea harvests easier to transport and trade. These tea bricks were prepared by roasting and pulverizing the leaves and then mixing the resulting tea powder with water and salt. Chinese Zen monks discovered the joys of matcha. They would prepare their tea by breaking off a chunk, mashing it with a mortar and pestle until they got a fine powder, and then whisking the tea powder and hot water together in a wide, shallow bowl. Preparation and drinking of this tea played a significant part in the lives of lots of early Zen Buddhists, and, eventually, intricate rituals were formed around this vibrant green tea. The Japanese Tea Ceremony is called “Chado” or “Sado.” Translated, this means “The Way of Tea.” The four basic principles of the Japanese Tea Ceremony are Harmony, Respect, Purity and tranquillity. Although nowadays a tea ceremony isn’t something practised each time, we sit down for a cup of matcha but the feelings created when drinking tea really are, tranquil and harmonious.
