Herbal Awakening

Ingredients:

Turmeric Root | Ginger Root | Clove | Coriander | Cardamom | Nutmeg

Aroma: Herbal Awakening has a very fragrantly fresh aroma with a slight spiciness awakening your senses and creating a burst of energy in the air.

Teatime: This tea is best enjoyed at the start of the day or late afternoon. Herbal awakening can give a little boost to awaken your senses till the end of the day.

Brewing instructions: 1 tsp per cup of tea

Infusion time: We recommend a brewing time of around 5 to 8 minutes as this blend contains coarse ingredients so needs a longer brewing time.

Colour: Light yellow tone

Origin: Herbal Awakening has quite a few ingredients to its blend and thus has more than one origin

Nutmeg, a powder made from the seed of a tropical evergreen tree, is a well-used spice in many desserts and hot beverages. Nutmeg is a rare spice and, until the 19th century, it only grew on the 11 small volcanic Banda Islands.  A beautifully smooth nutty taste, sweet but not sugary can be sprinkled on your favourite coffee or mixed into cake batter but it has been smoked. Eating too much of this precious spice can cause hallucinations and even give a high, so stick to a sprinkle.

In symbolism, nutmeg is associated with fire, healing and good luck.
